Yes, even in the furniture industry! BIFMA, also known as Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association's is a non-profit organization for business and institutional furniture manufacturers, specifically providing third-party certification called the BIFMA LEVEL® certification. This certification sets standards for the furniture industry to promote sustainable, safe and ergonomic practices. 


BIFMA offers various standards for furniture products, offering three performance tiers: LEVEL 1, 2, and 3. Ergonomyx's Natural Bamboo Smart Sit Stand Desk (of all sizes and frames) and Headquarters facility are LEVEL®️2 certified by BIFMA. To achieve BIFMA certification, the product must meet all testing benchmarks as well as remain up to date on all policies and procedures. The testing includes things like assessing the chemicals being used, responsible packaging, and greenhouse gas inventory checks. As a result, BIFMA supports the claims of the product.
